Craft Your Inner Chef: Pizza Dip that's better 'n pizza

This Pizza Dip recipe is making its second appearance in this blog. I've made it many times and each time its gotten rave reviews. I can't take any credit for creating the recipe only for making it and sharing the results.

We were invited to our friends to watch the Superbowl. Initially I wanted to try a new recipe; Cheesy bean dip but since a new dip I made on Saturday (Buffalo shrimp dip) didn't turn out as planned, Mark suggested I go with "what I know".

(Mind you we devoured the buffalo shrimp dip like a pack of wolves so it couldn't have been all bad)

Pizza Dip
Servings: makes 4 servings

4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 cup mozzarella, shredded
1/2 cup parmigiano- reggiano cheese, grated
1 cup pizza sauce
Pie plate or 8x8 pan
French Baguette 

2 ounces pepperoni, sliced
2 tablespoons green pepper, sliced
2 tablespoons black olives, sliced

Pre-heat oven 375 F.
Mix 4 ounces cream cheese, ¼ c sour cream, ¼ c. mayonnaise, ½ c mozzarella cheese and ¼ c. parmigiano-reggiano. Spread across the bottom of a pie plate.

Spread the pizza sauce then sprinkle the remaining 1/2 c. mozzarella cheese, ¼ c parmigiano-reggiano cheese. Add pepperoni, green pepper and olives.

Bake about 20 minutes; until the sides are bubbling and the cheese has melted. Cut up a french baguette and enjoy!
