Craft Your Happiness: 31 days of Happiness Day 6

Keeping in the Happy theme I've decided to dedicate today to apple cider. I don't generally drink apple flavored beverages like apple juice. Gross. But I enjoy apple cider. It's probably the significant amount of alcohol I add to it.

I'm going to taste test a bunch of recipes from Pinterest to find my fall go-to.
Bourbon and Apple Cider

Here are the ones I've selected to sample:

2 cups apple cider
2 parts Apple Cider, refrigerated
2 parts Ginger Ale;  Boylan Ginger Ale
1 part Bourbon

Apple Cider Martini

1 ounce Grand Marnier
1 ounce gold tequila
5-6 ounces sweet apple cider
orange segments and apple slices
cinnamon, cane sugar, coarse sugar for glass rimming

Apple Pie Moonshine
2 qts. apple juice
2 qts. apple cider
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
3 cinnamon sticks
2 cups everclear (GRAIN alcohol)
1 cup whipped cream vodka

Apple Smash
2 large apple slices, like Honeycrisp
2 ounces white rum
1/2 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1 dash bitters, like Fee Brothers Barrel-Aged

Hot Buttered Apple Cider Rum
2 cups apple cider
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 stick of butter and 3 thin butter pads
1/2 cup of run
1/2 cup botterscotch schnapps
Warm up cider in a sauce pan until very hot, turn heat to low and add sugar and butter. When butter has melted pour in run, schnapps and stir.

Day 6: Happiness by the bushelfull.
